Qualcomm CES Keynote MAKING OF

Qualcomm CES Keynote MAKING OF

Qualcomm CES Keynote MAKING OFAnother show reunited and wrapped with 1stAvenueMachine 🙂 This time a keynote's supporting animations and vfx for the CES trade show 2012, client was Qualcomm. Check the sidebar to see how it looked live! These are selected shots i worked on mostly during RnD and pre-production, figuring out stuff. The final shots were set up and rendered in their NY facility based on my setups. The final renderings are a mix of Krakatoa, VRay with in camera DOF and Trapcode Form (as well as Plexus for AfterEffetcs). I was not involved in the final renderings and setup so I don't claim any the fame.

21 Jump Street Movie VFX

21 Jump Street – Limo Flip MAKING OF

21 Jump Street – Limo Flip MAKING OF This is the making of from 2 of the shots i worked on with DuMonde VFX in New Orleans for 21 Jump Street, the movie remake of the 80s tv show 🙂 Initial RnD involved deforming of the car as well. For the actual shots II got animation delivered. FumeFX for various elements like the main explosion, dedicated window fire, secondary ground fire, etc. Procedural and hand painted burn maps and vanilla PFlow for window and secondary fire. Rendered in VRay. This was done in a month on and off, probably more around 2 weeks real work time.

Incendii commercial show reel 2013

Incendii TV-Commercial-RnD Reel 2013-1

Incendii TV-Commercial-RnD Reel 2013-1Like us on Facebook 🙂 tinyurl.com/664q5z8 I haven't done a new reel in over 2 years (which is a good thing, i am busy 🙂 ) but over the holidays i sat down finally and made a new one. Enjoy! This reel shows work on new Commercials for Coors Light, HTC/Droid, Qualcomm "SnapDragon", British Gas and others as well as some short Movie work and movie R&D, TV shows like HOUSE MD and The Asset, music videos for David Guetta, Black Eyed Peas and Willow Smith and portions of RnD and viral youtube videos. A new film reel is coming at some point as well but it takes its time to gather over 3 minutes of brand new film material 😉 . Most of the movies and game cinematics i worked on recently are not even out yet. I sneaked in 3 smaller movie gigs however 😉 Shot breakdown: incendii.com/gallery/Incendii_tv-commercial-rnd_breakdown2013-1.jpg For wireframes, viewport previews and all things "Making Ofs" please check out my vimeo profile with 175 videos: vimeo.com/psychosilence Thanks for watching and thanks to every artist who participated in making this possible! Cosmos TV Show VFX of Vulcano Edna

COSMOS: A Spacetime Odyssey – Mini Making Of (Vulcano Edna errution)

COSMOS: A Spacetime Odyssey – Mini Making Of (Vulcano Edna errution)My vulcano simuation for the very popular TV show COSMOS: A Spacetime Odyssey with Neil DeGrasse Tyson (nominated for an EMMY). The most challenging part was the fact that the simulation is roughly 1500 frames long (!) and had to move very slowly while maintaining detail. Not the easiest of tasks! The final sims was retimed in FumeFX by 200% which caused a few flicker headaches. It is not really designed to retime that much. The fume grid was pretty massive in size as well and used around 12-16gb of ram.

Particle sparks and FumeFX simulations for Transformers 4 - Age of Extinction Movie

Transformers 4 – Ratchet Torches Mini MakingOf

Transformers 4 – Ratchet Torches Mini MakingOf I once again had the pleasure to work with Atomic Fiction. This time on Transformers 4. Now htat the DVD is out I can finally show it. Mega res head of Ratchet as well as match moves were delivered. Rest was done in 3dsmax with a TP system that fuels the torches, emits sparks based on FumeFX heat and the type of metal the torches hit. Each element had to be rendered individual and in stereo for Stereo3d compositing. That's 5 elements per torch, 4 or more torches each shot through 2 cameras in VRay. The sparks had to match the sparks in the plate. One of the biggest challenges was the interaction with the Ratchet model. It was VERY detailed and high res, custom collision objects had to be created and the model thinned out for fluid dynamics. I originally did more shots than what you see but they ended up on the cutting floor. Fabian helped with the intial RnD while I was still busy with another movie. Hope you like it.
